HOW DO I WORK WITH ACRYHOLZ?
ACRYHOLZ places great importance on providing transparent information about the properties of its products. Although stabilized, our Stabwood remains a natural wood product and should still be treated and processed as wood. Our innovative stabilization technology transforms even softwood species into materials with hardwood-like characteristics. This process increases density, enhances color depth, and improves hardness while preserving the natural character of the wood. ACRYHOLZ can be processed using the same techniques commonly applied to hardwoods: Sanding Sawing Turning Milling Drilling Polishing The result is a premium material with a distinctive appearance and exceptional performance. We believe that the natural feel of wood is preferable to synthetic materials, while still benefiting from improved properties such as hydrophobic behavior, dishwasher resistance, and dirt repellency. Because PMMA can be affected by excessive heat, we recommend keeping the surface temperature below 80°C (176°F) during machining and processing. While PMMA naturally has limited crack-bridging capabilities and cannot completely fill every natural defect within the wood, we continuously develop creative solutions and improve our proven process technology. Since 2004, we have continuously refined our stabilization process to meet the increasing quality requirements of our customers worldwide.
