Cancellation Policy

Right of Cancellation: You have the right to cancel this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The cancellation period is fourteen days from the day on which you or a third party designated by you, who is not the carrier, have or has taken possession of the goods, or in the case of several goods that you have ordered as part of a single order and that are delivered separately, from the day on which you or a third party designated by you, who is not the carrier, have or has taken possession of the last goods. You may use the model cancellation form provided by us, but this is not mandatory. To comply with the cancellation period, it is sufficient that you send the notification regarding the exercise of your right of cancellation before the cancellation period expires.

Special Features of ACRYHOLZ Products: Our products are partly made from natural materials and may have individual characteristics due to their nature. This does not constitute an exclusion of the right of cancellation. In particular, stabilized wood is a natural product. Differences in grain, structure, colour and appearance are typical material characteristics and do not constitute a defect. For products offered as unique pieces, you will generally receive exactly the product shown in the image.

Notice for Business Customers (B2B): The statutory right of cancellation applies exclusively to consumers within the meaning of Section 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB). Entrepreneurs within the meaning of Section 14 of the German Civil Code (BGB) do not have a statutory right of cancellation unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Consequences of Cancellation: If you cancel this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you, including delivery costs (except for any additional costs resulting from your choosing a type of delivery other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we received notification of your cancellation. For this repayment, we will use the same payment method that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you. In no case will you be charged any fees for this repayment. We may refuse repayment until we have received the returned goods or until you have provided proof that you have returned the goods, whichever is earlier.

Return of Goods: You must return or hand over the goods to us without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which you inform us of the cancellation of this contract. Return Shipping Costs: You shall bear the direct costs of returning the goods, provided that the delivered goods correspond to the goods ordered and that there is no error for which we are responsible. If goods are returned from abroad, you shall also bear the direct costs of return shipping.

Compensation for Loss of Value: You are only liable for any loss in value of the goods if this loss in value results from handling the goods that was not necessary to examine their condition, properties and functionality. For our products, this applies in particular to any processing, treatment or modification of the material beyond mere inspection. For raw wood materials, especially stabilized wood products, processing (e.g. sawing, sanding, drilling, milling, gluing or installation into another product) may result in a loss of value or complete loss of resale value.

Notice Regarding Inspection of Natural Products: Our products are partly made from natural materials. Inspection of the goods within the scope of the right of cancellation may be carried out to the extent that would also be possible in a retail store. Any alteration of the goods through processing or use goes beyond such inspection.

Exclusion of the Right of Cancellation: The right of cancellation does not apply to the following contracts: Individually manufactured or processed products according to customer specifications. The right of cancellation does not apply to contracts for goods that are not prefabricated and for the production of which an individual selection or specification by the consumer is decisive, or which are clearly tailored to the consumer’s personal needs. This applies in particular to materials cut individually according to customer requirements, custom-made products, individually assembled product variants, wood pieces processed according to customer specifications and customer-specific stabilized woods as part of our contract stabilization service. Contract stabilization is an individual service in which wood provided by the customer is processed and stabilized according to the customer’s specifications. The result is specifically intended for the respective customer and generally cannot be resold to others without significant loss of value.

Expiry of the Right of Cancellation for Services: The right of cancellation expires prematurely for contracts concerning services if we have fully performed the service, if we have only started performing the service after you have expressly agreed that we may begin providing the service before the expiry of the cancellation period, and if you have simultaneously confirmed that you are aware that you will lose your right of cancellation once the contract has been fully performed. This applies in particular to individually commissioned stabilization services.

No Exclusion for Regular Stock Products: The exclusion of the right of cancellation does not automatically apply to regularly offered stock products. Even if stabilized wood is a natural product or individual pieces are unique due to their grain pattern, the statutory right of cancellation remains valid unless a legal exception applies. This applies, for example, to ready-to-order handle scale pairs and handle blocks, photographed individual pieces, standard dimensions as well as regularly offered wood blocks and billets.

Notice Regarding Natural Materials: Stabilized wood consists of genuine wood and may show natural differences in colour, grain, structure and appearance. These material-typical characteristics do not constitute a defect and do not result in the exclusion of the statutory right of cancellation. For individual pieces, the product shown in the image is part of the product description.

Product Cancellation: For ready-to-order stock products, such as a finished handle scale pair, a photographed individual piece or a regularly offered standard billet, the statutory right of cancellation continues to apply. This differs for products individually manufactured or processed for the customer. These include, for example, materials cut to custom dimensions according to customer requirements, wood supplied by the customer that is individually processed as part of a contract stabilization service, as well as customer-specific colour stabilizations or specially assembled material variants. For such services, there is generally no right of cancellation due to the individual manufacture or customization, provided that the legal requirements are met. ​
