Buy Stabilized Wood
Welcome to the ACRYHOLZ shop! Before you start browsing, we would like to share some important information with you:
- You are purchasing and receiving exactly the piece shown in the photos.
- To give you a precise impression, we provide four pictures: Two images show the piece after it has been sprayed with ethanol, so you can see the final color. The other two images show the piece in its dry state, making cracks or holes more visible.
Please take a close look at the photos. If you are ever dissatisfied, feel free to contact us so we can work together to find a solution.
IMPORTANT TO UK CUSTOMERS: Thanks to Brexit - To be compliant with HMRC guidelines (VAT Notice 700), the consignment value must exceed 135 GBP (or 160 EUR); otherwise we will not be able to ship your order and you will get an error at checkout. I am very sorry about that!
Versatile Premium Raw Material for Your Next Project
Our exclusive, artificially hardened wood blocks and blanks are suited to demanding craftsmanship projects. Thanks to our own stabilization process, the material warps considerably less, is more crack-resistant and less sensitive to moisture than untreated wood, and sands and polishes well. This makes it versatile, for example in these areas:
Blacksmiths and Knife Makers: Handle material for knife making. Suitable as durable handle scales for kitchen knives, hunting knives, and custom knives, as well as premium knife handle blocks.
Jewelry Makers and Artisans: Fine hardwood blanks for jewelry making (e.g. rings and pendants), premium pen blanks, and high-quality woodturning projects.
Bowyers: Hardwood blanks for bow handles and demanding laminated bow constructions.
Musical Instrument Making: Wood that is less sensitive to moisture than untreated wood, for musical instrument manufacturing (e.g. clarinets, fingerboards, and decorative accents).
Inlays and Design Objects: Vividly colored premium hardwood blanks for inlays, marquetry, and decorative accents.
We mainly work with wood species native to Europe. Whether you are looking for an alternative to tropical hardwoods such as African Blackwood or Ebony for certain applications, or simply want vividly colored wood that is less sensitive to moisture than untreated wood, ACRYHOLZ stands for more than 20 years of experience and careful handcraft from our workshop in Berlin.
